On Monday, Jun 29, Assoc. Prof. Nguyễn Thị Thu Hoài – vice director of the Research Center for Infectious Diseases – welcomed Gregory Hunter, a Public Health and Equity Studies student from Saint Michaels College, for a summer internship.
Greg connected with RCID through Abroader and will have a summer internship with the center for 2 months. Greg will be assigned to work with the Medical Microbiology group to characterize S. aureus colonization in wild boar. He will also participate in ongoing projects in the microbiology lab, which includes performing laboratory experiments and writing scientific manuscripts.
RCID will host two international students this summer from Abroader.
